Full Face CPAP masks are designed to enhance the comfort of mouth breathers. Full Face CPAP masks are available two different ways. The first option is designed with a triangular shape and covers the nose and mouth. The second option has an oval shape and covers the nose and mouth. This second type of Full Face mask covers the entire face which creates less strain on the nasal passages and offers a more relaxed and natural breathing experience. Both types of Full Face masks use the four-point headgear to hold the mask on to your face.
Full Face CPAP masks are compatible with all CPAP machines and use a flexible hose to connect the mask to the machine. The best mask fit is one where the mask rests comfortably on your face and does not leave any red marks or create soreness. Sometimes patients need a soft cloth between their mask and their face. This soft cloth is called Remzees. We offer Remzees as well and they are specific per mask style.
The replacement schedule for Full Face mask cushions is usually every three months or as they lose their shape or secure seal on your face. Complete masks are usually replaced every six months as they begin to rip, leak or no longer fit comfortably. Also, we recommend washing your mask daily with gentle soap and warm water, then let air dry. We also offer CPAP mask concentrated cleaner, CPAP mask cleaner spray and CPAP mask wipes as convenient cleaning options.
