At Advanced Sleep Therapy, we are communicating daily with the manufacturers to ensure that we can deliver your CPAP as quickly as possible. We feel your frustration. We want nothing more than to get you breathing well as quickly as possible. In our 18 years in business, we have never seen anything like this.

In the video below, the CEO of ResMed explains in-depth what is causing this delay. In short, the core challenge is that there is a shortage of microchips worldwide. These same microchips are used in car production, appliances, and many other machines, as well as medical devices.

As medical professionals, we would like to think that the makers of the microchips put health above all else, but that does not seem to be the case. We need your help to get medical use to the top of the list in the allotment of microchips.

Please reach out to your representative and explain to them the urgency. If the shortage of microchips is addressed by you, a CPAP patient, perhaps our leaders can put pressure on these microchip manufacturers to prioritize medical equipment in the allocation process.
